Founder, Coach

Amanda Watson

Amanda has been coaching for over 15 years and is passionate about helping people move better, get stronger, and feel amazing. Her goal for The Cove is simple: she wants everyone to understand and embrace the importance of strength training—not just for how it makes you look, but for how it helps you live. Strength training builds confidence, supports longevity, and helps you move well in every part of life.

She believes workouts should be both effective and fun. At The Cove, that means training hard, laughing often, and celebrating wins both big and small.

When she's not in the gym, you'll probably find Amanda with a great cup of coffee, traveling to a new city, reading a good book, or enjoying the outdoors.

Coach

Wendy Jensen

Wendy's fitness journey began with ballet in childhood and continued with yoga after high school. After completing her BA in broadcast journalism at Brigham Young University, she became a mother to two children, staying active through Beach Body home workouts while young kids made gym visits difficult.

Once her children grew older, she discovered CrossFit and trained under CrossFit Games athlete Chyna Cho for three years before earning her Level 1 certification. While Wendy loved coaching CrossFit, the pandemic led her to focus on personal training, where she has found deep satisfaction.

Her diverse fitness background allows her to cater to clients' different needs, as she believes fitness isn't one size fits all. Wendy is a firm believer that everyone can exercise, regardless of physical limitations, and emphasizes that consistency, modification, and adaptation are the keys to success. Her greatest satisfaction comes from helping clients reach goals that leave them feeling happy, confident, and strong.

Yoga Instructor

Tracey White

If you ask Tracey what matters most, she will tell you it's the people she loves. She's the proud mom of two daughters, grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren, has a crazy blue heeler, and has shared life with her partner for the past four years. After a rewarding 40 year career as a registered nurse, caring for others remains part of who she is.

Tracey has called HMB home for over two decades and feels most at peace near the ocean or outdoors. She has a soft spot for dogs, loves to travel and enjoys creating memorable moments with those she loves. Whether she's planning an adventure, walking the coastal trail or gardening, Tracey brings curiosity and joy to whatever she's doing.

Yoga has become an important part of her life, both as a practice and as a way of connecting to others. She enjoys weaving movement, mindfulness and yoga philosophy into her classes, encouraging people to slow down, breathe deeply and find strength with grace. She currently teaches at Coastside Yoga Collective, Highway One Fitness and volunteers at Abundant Grace. Above all, Tracey believes that life's greatest gifts are the relationships we nurture, the experiences we share and the kindness we offer along the way.

Yoga Instructor

Mary Taylor

With over 25 years of personal practice, Mary began studying yoga back in Boston under Baron Baptiste. Her style evolved and deepened over the years to include meditative breath, a love of dance, and dynamic vinyasa to create a moving meditation that builds both physical strength and fluid flow. Specializing in teaching trauma-informed yoga since 2014, she has dedicated much of her practice to bringing healing movement to women's recovery centers and detox programs. She has proudly called the Coastside home for 23 years. When she's not teaching or working, you'll find her climbing trees or finding frogs with her 10-year-old son.
